About Jeff

Hi, I’m Jeffrey D. Van Gorp, a dedicated information technology professional with a focus on enhancing web experiences for businesses. Currently, I serve as a Technical SEO Engineer at Empire Today, where I conduct in-depth technical SEO audits, optimize website performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organic traffic growth. My background in SEO consulting began with my self-employed venture, Jeff V Web, where I help small businesses improve their online presence through tailored SEO strategies and responsive website development.

I also bring experience from BrightEdge Technologies, where I led SEO strategy for numerous clients, and I have a solid foundation in technical standards from my time as a Calibration Technician. My career started in the United States Army, where I developed strong leadership and technical skills that have served me well in civilian roles.

I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Website Development from Colorado Technical University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA. This academic achievement reflects my commitment to excellence in my field.

Beyond my professional life, I have a passion for community service, where I actively support organizations like the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). In my free time, you can find me enjoying eDrumming, training my Beagle, or tending to my garden.
